I noticed on Facebook that Lee Wallis Studios we holding free ‘Model and photographer’ evening, so I popped along to meet some new people.
Most of my stuff is landscape and candid festival portraiture and so I’m rather unfamilair with both studios and lighting.
I thought I may learn something useful.
Unfortunately what I learned was that the aperture return spring on the nikkor 24-70 f2.8 that I had recently purchased on eBay was missing or broken.
Every shot I took whilst connected to the lighting set up came out way over exposed.
We were meant to be shooting at ISO 200, 1/2oo, F8
In the end I gave up on the 24-70 and shot with my trusty 85mm F1.4 in ambient light.
The results were quite pleasing.
