After returning from Dorset with no fog shots I decided to research when the best time of year for fog actually was. Well apparently its the time of the August fall. I realized that I haven’t photographed trees very much in my 6 years as a photographer so I thought it was about time to try the ‘trees in fog’ combo.
The irony was that although there was fog this time it stuck to the hills and ignored the Gorge itself. I tried putting fog into these images myself using Photoshop and although it sort of worked in terms of generating atmosphere it also severely reduced the visual impact of the shots. So, for this gallery I’ll put in the non shopped versions.
The ancient oak woodland of Padley gorge is such a wonderful mystical place. I’m certainly going to be visiting again, especially since its only 45 mins drive from my house.Google+
