Wastelander: a Fallout inspired Airsoft larp game

Ok, so here I find myself with an empty blog. Well that won’t do.

I guess I better write something :-)

So, last Friday night I drove down to Tuddenham in Suffolk to an abandoned Lancaster bomber base.

I was there to shoot some images for ‘Wastelander,’ a  Fallout inspired Airsoft larp game.

I arrived at about 11:00 pm and so after saying a few hellos I retired for the night.

I got a wake up call about an about 7:45am and was shown around the site to get a mental map of optimum shooting locations.

Time in was called at just after 12:00pm. I wandered around the game map as a reporter for the  ‘Tudd Telegraph’ the in game newspaper.  I donned some post-apocalyptic armor I had lying about the house so I didn’t  stand out like a sore thumb.

In the end I shot from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Before heading of home to get the images raw processed I had a run around with my G3 shorty as a bit of a break.

I guy jumped out from behind a bush a shot me with a 9 mm blank firer. I nearly jumped out of my skin and fell over backwards. Moments later I was shot in the back of the head with BB pellet. They bloody hurt don’t they?!

Anyway here’s some video I shot whilst I was there :-)
